What were the correct build numbers for 1948? 'Where Ships Are Born' states 38 vessels & 177,874 tons. If you can correct the data, do please contact the webmaster.

1949 (data from a number of sources including 'The Motor Ship' & 'Shipping World' listings published in Dec. 1949 or in Jan. 1950. And Miramar also. Alas, much of the data is contradictory, so corrections will surely be required in the data that follows.)

In late Mar. 2015, copies of Lloyd's Register of 1949/50, Volumes I & II (A-L & M-Z) were e-Bay available. Of interest, most likely, to folks who live in Australia or New Zealand. Copies of the same two volumes were sold via eBay (1) on Jun. 1, 2014 - for U.S. $38.78 ( for both of them).
