This is Datapage 17 re Auguste (or August) Friedrich (or Frederic) Albrecht (or Albert) Schenck.

1) LE TROUPEAU DE MOUTONS (YEAR?)

Occasionally, but not too often in fact, visitors to the site provide me with a 'Schenck' image perhaps or other 'Schenck' data that is entirely new to the webmaster. Such is this next image, provided with no more detail than I provide here.

It is said to be of an oil painting with title as above, 60 cm x 90 cm in size. It was, I am advised, for sale at an art auction in Calais, France, held on Dec. 14, 2003. The art/auction house was, I am told, 'Eric Pillon Enchères P.V.E.', who are Calais based. The date of the work was not indicated to me. A beautiful work, indeed.

2) WOLF-PORTRÄT - WOLF PORTRAIT (YEAR?)

I thank Wolf M____, of Vienna, Austria, for bringing this fine item to the attention of the webmaster.

It is offered for sale on e-Bay in 2010. Here. And still is available as this page is updated in Oct. 2010. An offering by 'etzel5' of Germany, whom we thank & whose web store is here.

The item is described, in German, as being 'Öl auf Leinwand. unten signiert Schenck. Maße mit Rahmen 54 x 46,5 cm. wohl Originalrahmen mit wenigen Fehlstellen. Gemälde in gutem Zustand Keilrahmen mit alten Holzwurmspuren. Which, I gather, translates into English as 'Oil on canvas. Signed Schenck at lower left. Size with frame 54 x 46.5 cm. probably original frame, with few defects. Painting in good condition with old canvas woodworm marks'.

The date of the work is not indicated. Offered at 890 Euros or approx. U.S. $1,223.48. Do drop by etzel5's listing, via the link above, & view all of the listing images.
