In Oct. 2019, the webmaster received a request for assistance - to provide data re what would seem to be four 'Schenck' paintings, previously unknown to the webmaster. Unfortunately he was not able to help since the works were totally new to him.

The two works covered on this page are both signed by Schenck. And are described as being oils on canvas & of 50 x 60 cm. in size. The tentative names given to the works were 'Taureau' & 'Vache'. Now in the French language 'taureau' means, of course a bull and 'vache' means a cow. Which when you see the images below is a bit of a puzzle, since both works seem to be of single bulls. You can click each image to see it in a larger size.

I did think, but was not 100% sure, that the works were in Oct. 2019 available for sale at the Paris showrooms of Philippe Meunier & Jean Alonso DeFrocourt. It would now seem that the two works featured below are available for purchase, in late Apl. 2019, via the following website, the site of Proantic.com of 2727 Revere Street #3013, Houston, Texas. Available at 2,500 euros (about U.S. $2,786) each.

Can you tell us anything additional about the two works? I will gladly pass on any information that is received.

More when I get more! Maybe YOU could provide new data or could provide a clue as to where new data about the above works (or indeed any other Schenck work) might be found. I would truly welcome your input.
