And here are two illustrations that appeared in a Boy's Own Paper, the first in the 1905/06  Annual & the second perhaps in 1899 but it could be 2001. Re both images, there could very well be related articles.

HEROES OF OUR COAST - THE LIFEBOATMAN (1905?)

I found the item listed for sale on e-Bay in May 2003, described as being 11" by 8" in size, a full page of the issue, with text of course on the reverse. It sold for GBP 4.99. The title shows as being 'Heroes of our Coast -The Lifeboatman.', (Drawn for the "Boy's Own Paper" by Thomas M. Hemy). I know nothing else about it except that it was described as being c 1905. But I now know from a later listing that it appears in the 1905/06 Annual (Volume 28). The 2003 e-Bay image was not perfectly vertical, but when I tried to straighten it, I lost too much detail. So the image below is not quite all of the actual work due to some modest edge cropping.

A GOOD CATCH (1899?)

And here is an illustration that appeared in a Boy's Own Paper, in 1899. As for the above image, if anybody could advise me as to which particular issue it appeared in, I sure would like to know. And if there is, just possibly, a related article.

I found the item listed for sale on e-Bay in Jun. 2003, in fact by the very same vendor as the image above, described as being 11" by 8" in size with text on the reverse. A full page of the issue, clearly. The title shows as being 'A Good Catch.', (Drawn for the "Boy's Own Paper" by Thomas M. Hemy).

I indicated above that the dating of this print is in some doubt. Why? In Oct. 2005, a full page print of the work sold on e-Bay for U.S. $7.50. It is stated to be from a 2001 issue of Boy's Own Paper, presumably from an Annual since the page number is high - No. 233. Could 2001 mean 1901? I trust it is in order to use the image on this informational & non-profit site.

More about the above works if I find out any more!
