SAVED BY THE CONDEMNED (c. 1892)

A work by Thomas M. M. Hemy that was a 2 page spread in an 1892 issue of 'The Black & White', a U.K. weekly newspaper, which newspaper was, I read, incorporated into 'The Sphere' in 1912.

The print was for sale as this page was first created in Apl. 2013. By 'devonian35' of Ilfracombe. Offered at GBP 12.50 or U.S. $19.16. A print of approx. 37 x 27 cm. but I may have misinterpreted the vendor's listing words.

'Saved By The Condemned', by Thomas M. M. Hemy - an 1892 work perhaps?

I wonder whether the work depicts an actual shipwreck. It is possible that the 'The Black & White' had some words of explanation in the issue in which the image appeared.
