And here are even more Thomas Hemy works, provided by Randall Trass of Clatskanie, Oregon, U.S.A. The top work is entitled 'Sport in the Doldrums', & I show you both the full image & an enlargement of a part of it. It comes, as do all images on this page, from Volume 20 of the 'Boy's Own Annual', re 1897/98.
No date is visible on the work.
As for other recent additions to this site, the three works on this page were illustrations to articles in the BOP. Prepared quickly for that purpose, no doubt.
And now, thanks to the kindness of Martin Pegrum, of the Philippines, we can show you, in a large size, the above work - i.e. 'Sport in the Doldrums'. We thank you, Martin!
And next, another composite image from that same Annual edition of 'Boy's Own Paper'. Entitled, respectively 'Driving Home', dated 1896 & 'A Capful of Wind'.
Thanks again to Martin Pegrum, we can now show you, in a large size, the right hand of the two images immediately above - i.e. 'A Capful of Wind'.
More about the above works if I find out any more!
