THE MOTOR SCOUT

I am now quite certain that the 1913/14 'Boy's Own Paper' Annual contained two colour prints of Thomas Hemy works, & that one of those works was The Motor Scout. I have absolutely no data about the work & have no large image of it. I can provide, however, a thumbnail of the work as it was illustrated re an item for sale on e-Bay.

Someday, I hope that a larger & more detailed image of the work will become available to the webmaster. Is it possible that you could help in that regard?

And now I can show you a larger image of the work. Which appeared in the Feb. 1914 issue of 'Boys Own Paper'. Thanks to Geoffrey Barber, of Griffith, New South Wales, Australia, who has provided it to me from 'out of the blue'. Geoffrey, thanks so very much.

There may well be nothing more to be said about the work unless the original painting turns up somewhere. And if it does, I will gladly tell you more, when I can!
