A MOMENT OF PERIL

At left, is a thumbnail of the work 'A Moment of Peril' as it appeared, I do believe, for sale on e-Bay some years ago.

And below is the same work as it appeared in Boy's Own Paper Annual #17 re 1894/95. This image appears here courtesy of Donna O'Sullivan of Ontario, Canada. Donna tells us that all that was said in BOP is 'from the picture by Thomas M. Hemy'. Donna, thanks!

A copy of the print is available via e-Bay in Nov. 2019. Here. Its title follows.

GOAL

And here is 'Goal', a work which was published in Boy's Own Paper Annual #19 re 1896/97. The work also appears here courtesy of Donna O'Sullivan of Ontario, Canada. We thank you again, Donna! Donna tells us that the text under the work says 'Painted for the Boy's Own Paper by Thomas A. Hemy' and that while a bit hard to read, it would appear to be an 1896 work. I have no idea where the game was taking place but suspect it was at one of the famous public schools of England. If anyone can add anything, please feel free to write to me.

In late Feb. 2013, a copy of the print was available via e-Bay. It sold for GBP 22.03 or U.S. $33.17 on Mar. 7, 2013.

More about the work when I have more to tell you!
