Problems? Your computer may refuse to show anything other than an empty box. If so, and you are using Windows 7 as the webmaster does, fixing the problem is most simple. Print the image you will come to here & follow the few instructions. In other browsers I presume that you would follow the same approach i.e. get to the 'Java' program on your computer & fix the security level.

Of course you do need to install 'Java' to be able to see it. Easily done! It installs quickly & it is free. Just click on 'Free Java Download' here.

Yet another wonderful copyrighted Mark C. Cassino image. Mark lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan & has a splendid website which you would enjoy visiting, I know, if you like superb images of birds, butterflies & insects. We thank you Mark!

The image is of a violet necked lory. Lory's are parrots of the Loriidae family which have adapted to exclusively feed on pollen, nectar & fruits. Lory's and Lorikeets come from Indonesia & Australia. This particular lory (Eos squamata) is no exception. It frequents the canopy of the coastal forests of a number of islands including the Western Papuan islands, & the northern Moluccas. The bird is stunningly beautiful, as you can see.
